Another significant winter storm is sweeping across the Midwest and central US with disruption likely. Millions of people along the storm's path from the West Coast to the Upper Midwest will experience significant weather impacts until Thursday.

While this storm won't produce blockbuster snow totals, it's notable for strong winds. Some areas in the Plains and upper Midwest could experience dangerous travel from blizzard or near-blizzard conditions.

A winter storm warning goes into effect for most of WXPR listening area starting at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. There could be some ice accumulation Wednesday morning. Temperatures are expected to be right around freezing Wednesday afternoon when there’s the greatest chance for precipitation.
