The lack of image stabilization was a concern but has not proven to be problematic. The small size of the lens has been an asset in terms of not being a distraction to the subjects, carrying my camera and in storing my camera bodies and gear. There was an adjustment to shooting with a shorter barreled lens. Thus far I have not experienced any durability issues with the lens. To date, this has been an excellent addition to my gear.
