Uses Semglee contains Insulin glargine-yfg as the active ingredient. This medication is a long acting insulin that is used to reduce sugar levels in adults, and children aged 6 years and older with type 1 diabetes, and in adults with type 2 diabetes. Cautions Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any of the ingredients found in Semglee, or if you have any other allergies. Glucose monitoring is important while receiving insulin therapy. Provide your doctor your complete medical history before using this medication, such as liver or kidney disease or any other medical conditions. How to use Semglee is for subcutaneous injection use only. The injection site should be changed frequently to prevent formation of lumps under the skin. Use this medication as directed by your physician and follow the instructions on the manufacturer's packaging. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Possible side effects Redness, swelling, itching, irritation at the injection site, weight gain, too low sugar are some of the possible side effects.
