As soon as the blooms of spring fade, new shoots will grow, carrying more flowers, and this will continue throughout summer and fall, right up to the arrival of cold weather. It grows well from the cool winters of zone 6 into the hot, humid summers of zone 9, and thrives in more sun than other azaleas can take. Plant around your home, on the north or east sides, or among shrubs in the partial shade of deciduous trees.
