Uses Solifenacin succinate belongs to the class of medicine known as anticholinergics. This medication is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder(OAB). Solifenacin succinate works as an antispasmodic by relaxing the muscles in the bladder. Once the bladder muscles relax, urinary frequency, urgency, and leaking improve. Cautions Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any of the ingredients found in Solifenacin succinate, or if you have any other allergies. This medication may make you sweat less, making you more likely to get a heat stroke. Avoid hard work or exercise in hot weather, or using hot tubs as this may cause overheating. When the weather is hot, dress lightly and drink a lot of fluids. Provide your doctor your complete medical history before using this medication. How to use Solifenacin succinate is for oral use only. Take this medication with a full glass of water. If you are using the liquid form of this medication, shake the bottle well before taking each dose. Carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/spoon. Do not use a household spoon because you may not get the correct dose. After taking your dose, drink a glass of water or milk. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Pick a time or times of the day that is easiest for you to remember your medications, and take your dose at these same times each day. Possible side effects Dry mouth, constipation, drowsiness, stomach upset, blurred vision, dry eyes, headache, or unusual tiredness, weakness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. If you notice other effects not listed, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Missed dose If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose.
