Uses Tamsulosin is used in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). How to use Tamsulosin is usually taken once a day, approximately 30 minutes after a meal. Try to take this medication at the same time each day. Do not crush, chew, or open a capsule. Swallow the capsule whole. Possible side effects Speak with your healthcare provider if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: low blood pressure; dizziness, drowsiness, weakness; nausea, diarrhea; headache, chest pain; back pain; blurred vision; tooth problems; fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms; runny or stuffy nose, sinus pain, sore throat, cough; sleep problems (insomnia) Missed dose Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
