This is one of the first burst of colors as buds begin to bloom in early spring. Soon after new foliage emerges a red tinted shade that later emerge to a glossy dark green in Summer. Small yellowish-green drupes begin to appear in late Summer and can develop red tinged once matured in Autumn. Both the fruit and petals of this Quince are edible but typically used in jellies dressings or preserves due to its acidity and bitterness. Full sun to partial sun. Attracts birds bees and butterflies. Drought tolerant once established. Orange / Red flowers non-fragrant
