Air Force Public Affairs Badge was authorized in 1993 and awarded to both officers and enlisted personnel in the public affairs career field. Responsibilities of the public affairs career field included: the Air Force band; community relations; media relations; base newspapers; and the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service.
