HOW IT IS CONSTRUCTED Crafted from solid poplar wood, poplar veneers, engineered wood and MDF. Frame-and-panel construction adds strength and structural integrity you can trust. Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew. The use of veneers results in high-quality furniture with flawless surfaces and consistent color tones. Mattress platform is made of 100% solid poplar wood in slat-roll for extra strength; designed for use with a twin bunk mattress (sold separately) and without a box spring. Drawers feature English dovetail joinery and waxed wooden glides, which ensure smooth motion. Sturdy half-moon safety stops keep drawers securely in place. Finished by hand in child-safe, water-based Weathered Navy paint that provides durability, depth of color and richness to each piece of furniture.
