The Little Gem Magnolia is a beautiful small version of the familiar southern magnolia, with the same beautiful pure-white perfumed flowers throughout the summer. It makes the perfect evergreen tree across all the milder parts of the country, with its beautiful glossy leaves looking perfect all year round. Underneath the leaves are covered with a handsome dense brown fur, which gives the tree lots of character. The flowers grow throughout the summer, filling the air with a rich perfume that will delight you. Unlike the ordinary southern magnolia, you will not be waiting years to see blooms, as this tree begins to bloom when only 3 or 4 feet tall. In fall the fascinating cone-like seed pods open to reveal bright red seeds, adding color and interest to another season.
