The Elijah Blue Fescue is a clump-forming grassy plant that quickly develops into a dense, spiky clump of striking blue-green leaves. These narrow leaves bring a dramatic contrast to the garden, looking beautiful against the foliage of any other plant. Grow it in any sunny spot, as an accent, in a group among conifers, dwarf shrubs, or flowers, or make a no-mow lawn replacement for an awkward corner of the garden. It looks great among rocks and boulders, in Zen or Asian style gardens, in a natural garden, and even in planters and pots, mixed with flowering plants. It remains evergreen through winter, adding interest to that season, and looking great all summer too. - Spiky clumps of dramatic blue-green foliage - Excellent choice for accents or edging - Grows easily in any well-drained soil - Drought resistant, and thrives in poor, rocky soil - Tough, reliable plant for the front of your beds Plant the Elijah Blue Fescue in any well-drained soil, in a sunny spot. It grows well in sandy, stony and shallow soils too, so use it in difficult spots where other plants wont grow. It is hardy all through zone 4, and grows everywhere except in places with long, very hot and humid summers. It has no pests or diseases, resists urban pollution, and thrives with virtually no care at all. An annual trim in spring is all that is needed to keep it fresh and brightly-colored all year round.
